A Shovel Only Has One Gear
 by: Donovan Baldwin

My wife really gets the credit for the title.

Here’s how it happened.

Years ago, she and I were both truck driving instructors for a major national carrier at their Dallas training facility. Every week, we got a new batch of about 30 people to train, most of whom had never driven a truck (that’s a big truck, semi, tractor-trailer). Our trucks had 10 forward gears spread between two ranges, had to be double-clutched (if you don’t know, don’t ask - it takes too long to explain), and all shifting had to be done at specific engine RPM’s. Upshifting was a different technique from downshifting, and we threw in tricks of the trade such as skip-shifting, speed-shifting, and rolling into second (don’t ask, I told you).

Needless to say, many of our students, most of whom were bright and willing to learn, had difficulty learning the shifting techniques. My wife ran a tutor room at night at the motel where the students stayed, and students could come and ask questions about almost anything to do with the course, including shifting. It was a popular place. So popular in fact, that one night she tutored a guy for half an hour before she realized he was training with another company! We’ll save the story about the night the Dallas SWAT team had a shootout there for another time, but just for the record, yes, she did throw a full grown man to the floor.

3 Ways To Make Money With Your Podcast
 by: Patrick Curran

How would you like to make money with your podcast? If you are podcasting, the potential to generate revenue from your podcast is an extra-added benefit to you as a podcaster.

As a podcaster, you don’t have to worry about large overhead and the revenue generated through your podcast will be mostly profit.

There are three main ways in which you can make money with your podcast.

1. Generate Revenue through Commerical Sponsors

One of the greatest ways to generate revenue for your podcast is through commercial sponsorship of your show. If you are able to obtain a major sponsor, you can bring in large revenue for your podcast. As time goes on, major companies are beginning to recognize the true importance of podcasting.

Two Moms, Paige and Gretchen, from Virginia understand the significance of commercial sponsors. They host a weekly show called MommyCast that focuses on mothers. Paige is a mother of 5 and Gretchen is a mother of 2.

Blogging for Fun and Profit
 by: Paul Majestyck

When it comes to making money, what can possibly beat a job you like? Nothing, that’s what.

And when it comes to writing about your online business, what could be more fun than blogging?

A timid voice pipes up from the back of the room at this point. “If you please, Sir,” it virtually squeaks, “what’s a blog?”

There are as many variations on the blog as there are bloggers. But to put it simply, a blog (or a web log, usually spelled weblog) is a space on the web that can be used to record thoughts, day by day.

Blogging can be used as a personal journal or as a space for like-minded people to come and collaborate, bouncing ideas off of each other. Online blogging can also be used for personal rants and journalistic critiques, to collect things such as recipes or to register memos to one’s family.

Blogging can also be used to put your online business over the top.

Rarely-Used But Very-Effective Internet Marketing Tools

Rarely-Used But Very-Effective Internet Marketing Tools
 by: Willie Crawford

While many online marketers struggle to build a successful business, mine grows almost effortlessly. I’m going to share with you today the “rare” tools that I use to make that happen.

Briefly, my seldom-used tools are: actually caring about your customers; a lot of actual customer contact; and giving them tremendous value. Please allow me to provide examples of how to actually implement each. I’ll use examples from my own business so that you can see how EASY they are to implement.

Rarely-Used Tool Number One - Actually caring about your customers:

I’ve witnessed scams where retirees invested thousands of dollars in programs where they were told that all they needed to do was plug in traffic. Then they were offered this plug-in traffic for a few thousand dollars more. In every case, that untargeted traffic failed to produce many… if any… sales.

Having a HUGE list, I’ve often been phoned and asked to promote a program with a mailing or two to my list. I’ve been told that I just needed to plug into the system, allow them to “mine” my list, and they would build me a nice residual income. Ideal prospects from my list would identify themselves, they’d be signed up under me, and I could just sit back and collect the passive income.

Succeed in Affiliate Program marketing with webmaster staff leasing

Succeed in Affiliate Program marketing with webmaster staff leasing
 by: Massomeh Indanan

Using a webmaster staffing service is one of the most effective ways to increase your affiliate commission checks. Being successful in the affiliate marketing business takes a lot of time and energy. While you’re busy on one part of your business, other important things on the side might be forgotten. In a situation like this, to lease a webmaster agent can do wonders for the bottom line.

Suppose you are already earning good commissions as an affiliate marketer.

You would like to expand, and endorse more products, so you can earn higher commissions. But, you’re worried, that if you expand, you won’t have time to manage all of your websites.

Getting an assistant could help a lot. You could work together and share the load. However you realize that you just can not afford an assistant.

Freelancing could be good for a while. They are affordable and swift although not efficient. Most of their works bug down in few weeks time just because they are always in a hurry to finish up quickly so they could start up a new project. This scheme will make you spend even more since you have to get another one to debug.

Everlasting Income

Everlasting Income
 by: Raymond Majewski

Can you really make money with affiliate programs?

The answer is a resounding YES! You can make money with affiliate programs if you do the research necessary to find the honest and ethical programs out there. There are many scammers around and they would love you to fall into their traps and take your earned commissions away from you. It’s best to choose an affiliate program that is highly targeted and one that you would feel comfortable buying for yourself. After all , if you wouldn’t buy it why would anyone else.

Affiliate programs work this way:

You sign up for a program of your choice.

They will send a welcome e-mail and assign you a link to the sales page website.

You can then start marketing the program.

Most good programs will give you sample banners, classified ads,e-mail ads etc to help you promote the business.

When people click your link they are redirected to the website that you are marketing.

When anyone makes a purchase, you will have earned a commission from 1% to 100% and most will be somewhere in between - 40% - 50% - 60%.

How to Sell High Priced Products

How to Sell High Priced Products
 by: Yanik Silver

During my presentation at my recent Underground Online Marketing Seminar (www.UndergroundOnlineSeminar.com) - I talked about my own “Underground” secrets. One of the things I covered was how to sell super high-end products.

Personally, I’ve sold everything from $17 ebooks to $14,500.00 “Apprentice Programs” and lots in-between. My most recent high-end product is a $7,995/month program for cosmetic surgeons.

I really love high priced products and you’ll see why in a moment…

First off, if you want to make $1M this year - then you’d have to sell 20000 copies of my ‘doohickey’ at $50. Or it could be 2000 copies at $500. Or better still 200 copies at $5000.

It’s a lot easier dealing with 200 customers than 20,000. Think of all the customer service and infrastructure, etc. Plus, as a general rule - the buyers of a high-priced product or service are better buyers are easier to deal with than someone who bought a $9.95 ebook and drives you crazy.

Stanley Amazan got his website ranked #1 in GOOGLE using this Search Engine Optimization Technique.
 by: Stanley Amazan

How I got my website rank #1 in google when you search my name Stanley Amazan as a keyword. Fist of all I would like to say SEO is probably the most important field in the online industry. If you have a well optimized website you will make money online even if you don’t sell anything. I know it, you know it and everybody reading this articles knows it. That said, I just wanted to give you a quick tip on how to get to the top of search engines using this tip.

Instead of trying to brand your website name (www.yourcompany.com) or keywords around your website theme which will be extremely completive and will cost time, money and takes so long. Why not try to brand your own name (example.. Stanley Amazan as a keyword for my website www.stanleyamazan.ws). This technique won’t work for everybody, but for some like me it will work wonders. This technique will only work if you plan on branding your company name around your name, or you just want your name to be associate with your business when your name is searched online. If you go on google.com right now and type in Stanley Amazan or stanleyamazan you will find my stanleyamazan.ws website comes up. My main goal was that when you type in Stanley Amazan you will find my website.

All SEO Traffic is Not Created Equal
 by: Tim O’Keefe

Did you know that your website can rank number 1 for the phrase “Your City Real Estate”, and still be a miserable failure? Read on….

So the telemarketer calls you, and you being the internet expert, the conversation goes something like this:

“SEO” Telemarketer: Do you know that we can get your website onto the top twenty of the search engines?

You: Why not the Top Ten?

“SEO” Telemarketer: OK the top ten.

You: And?..

“SEO” Telemarketer: We will get you in the top ten.

You: Sooo?…

“SEO” Telemarketer: You will get a bunch of traffic.

You: And that means to meeeee??….

“SEO” Telemarketer: You will get leads.

You: Do you even own a website kid? I want sales!

Somehow the SEO industry has done a job of making Realtors start at the beginning instead of having the end in mind.

Of course you are concerned about your bottom line. But since that kid can’t control your ability to get leads and convert them to a sale. He has to draw you in on the assumption that traffic equates to leads and sales. That is a big assumption.
